about me

Okay.

So that was not a perfect description, beat by beat, of how it happened.

I'm a creative writer, give me some credit.

Believe me when I say that that excitement came eventually. And never left.

My love for cinema really started in my aunt’s video store, and yes, she did make a deal with me. She introduced me to Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Bonnie and Clyde, Mon Oncle, The Party, Summer of 42, Rear Window, Somewhere in Time and countless other classics. After a while, I was researching new films on my own, and I discovered the works of amazing artists who continuously inspire me, like Robert Altman, Mike Nichols, François Truffaut and Billy Wilder.

That passion led me to Film School. Well, not really. I thought I wanted to be a vet, until all my friends started gagging up to demand me to stop lying to myself and go after what I really wanted. I did, and never looked back.

I, like a lot of people in the industry, spent my first years doing a bit of everything: I worked in costume, art direction, was a PA in a music studio, did a short documentary film as an AD and was even an extras coordinator for a while. But writing was always the goal.

My writing career started in 2008 in the most beloved Brazilian tv series of that time:
"Cilada".

After two years writing for different comedy series, in 2010, I sold my first two shows,
"Os Figuras" and "De Cabelo em Pé"
and became the head writer.

Both shows were developed, shot, edited and released at the same time.

I was on the helm of two series happening simultaneously, from beginning to end.

I was only 28.

From 2010 on, I never stopped writing. Today, I have over 150 writing credits in my IMDB page, and countless other projects and a development executive and story editor.

I was part of 15 tv shows writing teams. I have 5 produced feature films (and 3 more currently looking for financing).

You can find my name in a lot of comedies (of course!) like “Drunk History” and “Samantha!”. But I love exploring new genres and formats. That’s how we learn and develop our writing skills.

In my career I also did:

A daily show – A dating reality show – A travel show

A lifestyle show – A teen dreamed – A fantasy show

And lots of romantic comedies (love them!)

In 2018 I decided to take on another challenge:

I immigrated to Canada

I'm still in the beginning of my Canadian journey, but I have already achieved a few victories, including participating in the first edition of

BIPOC TV & Film
Showrunner Bootcamp

And I can't wait for what comes next!
